Hello Tuesday!!!! Today’s wedding on the blog is very special to me. Martha & Sonny’s granddaughter Georgie is an ML BRIDE. We photographed & filmed Georgie & Garrett’s wedding in October 2016, and I also photographed their maternity session & Grace’s 1 st birthday portraits. I know this family very well, and I adore them all. I already loved her grandparents, and now I can call Martha an ML BRIDE too!!!! I was overjoyed with excitement when Georgie and her mom contacted us to photograph this extraordinary day. I love you guys dearly!!!!

Meet Mr. & Mrs. King. Sonny & Martha are celebrating 50 YEARS of marriage!!!! WOW, that is amazing!!! They never had the chance to have a wedding with all their family & friends present, so they chose their 50th anniversary to renew their vows and have the wedding they deserved. OMG, it was just too cute. The colors they chose were pinks, whites, and blues. The weather was beyond perfect. If you’re from Bakersfield you know, we have had a lot of rain this year. Saturday was one of the first sunny days we have had yet. No rain in sight.

Martha shined bright on her special day. She was excited to celebrate with all her favorite gals by her side. Martha’s two sisters and daughter were her bridesmaids. Sonny had his two sons by his side. Sonny looked sharp; his smile was radiant throughout the entire day. His belt buckle matched his bolo tie. It was a horse and a cowboy kneeling at a cross. Martha chose an elegant tan lace dress with her granddaughters’ pearl necklace and earrings to wear for the long-awaited day.
March 9th also just happens to be one of Martha’s sister Linda’s Birthday. During the reception, everyone sang happy birthday to her, and they even brought her a cake. It was very thoughtful and sweet. Her other sister Betty was wearing their mothers’ ring with all her children’s birthstones. That was a super cute detail I had to make sure I documented. The King wedding had many special moments & details at their wedding. One of their granddaughters felt compelled to sing to them. She was a little nervous, but she did it, and her voice is amazing. One of my favorite details of the wedding was their memory table. It was full of memories from the past 50 years of marriage together. Their love is inspiring because it has stood the test of time. The generations have a good example to follow, and they are here because of your love. It’ s a beautiful thing.

Thank you for allowing us to serve you on such a special day. Thank you for reminding me what true love is. Thank you for creating such amazing humans. You two are fantastic role models for all of us. Cheers to another 50 years of love!!
