Incredible fall wedding at The Belle Rae in Bakersfield, CA

In the bustling city of Bakersfield, there is an iconic place of business, of charm… and love. The Belle Rae, built-in 1959, formerly a single residence home, has been since established into a breathtaking wedding venue! Even as ordinary city business takes place during working hours, the sounds of ringing applause and cheer dance along the walls, filling the entire event with the joy of a dozen simultaneous weddings. Here, on a happy October day, Cami and Kyle arrived to celebrate the best day of their lives.

The morning was all celebration and laughter. Decked out in floral robes, the bride and her bridesmaids enjoyed mimosa’s & quality girl time. Meanwhile, the groom and his groomsmen cracked jokes and strolled around downtown, taking pictures. When the last boutonnière was pinned, and the last curl was hair-sprayed, the time had arrived to get lined up for their wedding at The Belle Rae. Cami made sure to do a first look with her Dad before. Escorted by her Dad down the aisle of a beautiful arch of trees, Cami, in her wedding gown, absolutely glowed. And her groom’s eyes watered as she made her way toward him.

Under the expert guidance of the wedding coordinator, Shannon with Shannon Hough Events, the talented vendors painted an elegant scene. The romance of the floral arrangements by Shannon Hough Events was perfectly juxtaposed by edgier, more modern elements. Like the hanging wedding cake, ornamented with delicate, real flowers, crafted by Tina from Tina’s Cakes. The tablescape, overflowing with blooms, was decorated in gold vases and nostalgic handmade table cards designed by Matinae Design Studio. Even the custom made hanging cake stand followed the thread of rustic elegance painted in the colors of the scenery around us.

Surrounded by twinkle lights and with the romantic scent of roses wafting through the air the festivities carried on well into the night. The toasts from the maid of honors of the bride and the groom’s best man were heartfelt full of laughter. The celebration was added on top of celebration when, after the bride and groom’s first dance, Kyle invited his daughter out for a special dance of their own. There wasn’t a dry eye in sight…including mine! After an enormous group sparkler dance, the bride and groom turned the party up by dancing the night away with all their favorite people.

As the party came to a close, the crowd cheered, and the bride and her groom sprinted into the night now as one. Surrounded by friends and family, their life together as husband and wife began. I am so thrilled I was able to document Kyle and Cami’s big day. I can’t wait to see where life takes them!
