Alexander + Guadalupe | Married

Santa Barbara Wedding Photographer - Marianne Lucas

June 29th, 2019

Happy Friday Friends!!! I hope everyone had a happy and safe holiday.

I first met Guadalupe at the Kevin Rush bridal show in January. She was one of the winners of our free engagement sessions. I was super excited to start planning their engagement session. During their engagement session, we had a ton of fun in the hills of Kern County. Their session was purely full of laughter, snuggles, and sweet kisses. Initially, they already had a photographer, but somehow, their original photographer could no longer do their wedding. Lupe texted me to see if I was available. I was thrilled that they would consider me. When they booked me my heart smiled because I knew their Rancho Janitzio wedding was going to be FUN & GORGEOUS.

Alexander & Lupe decided to have a traditional Catholic wedding at their home church of St. Elizabeth’s in McFarland. With it being the end of June, I was a little worried about the weather. But Lupe & Alex were blessed with a beautiful day; it was a remarkable 96 degree’s all day.

When I arrived at Alexander’s prep location, he was already suited and booted ready to get this day started. I snapped a couple of quick pictures of him and his guys and headed to the bride’s location. The bride’s place was literally less than 2 mins away, which made it super easy to document both of their preps. Lupe’s prep was at their new house. Everyone was almost done when I arrived. Itzel from Lash Dolls had just finished with Lupe. She looked AMAZING!!! Itzel never disappoints in her skills. We did a few close-up and prep shots, and I jumped over to start shooting the details. After all the details were done, Lupe got dressed in her beautiful wedding gown, and we headed to the church.

Alexander and Lupe’s wedding turned out fantastic. I loved the relationship Lupe has with her sisters. They were there for any issues she had. It was super cute to witness. You can tell the love and respect Lupe has for her sisters. Their head table was one of my favorite details from their reception. I loved how they incorporated just a couple of long wooden tables to tie their whole reception together.

There were over 300 people who came to enjoy their special day with them. I was very blessed to be one of them. Alex & Lupe are VERY loved. Thank you for allowing me to document your wedding day. I am very honored!!! Thank you for allowing me to meet all your closest friends and family, it was a pleasure. I wish you guys the best!!!! Congratulation on your marriage and your new home. Have fun on your honeymoon!!!!! Enjoy my favorite’s from their gorgeous Rancho Janitzio wedding.
