A summer engagement session in one of my favorite locations near the beautiful Kern River
Hi Friends!!! Today on the blog, I’m introducing one of our awesome #mlcouples and sharing their portraits from their engagement session at Kern River.
But first, happy Saturday! We are headed to SLO for a family event and back to SLO on Sunday for senior sessions. One of those precious seniors is MINE!!! 🙁 It is going to be a fun filled weekend.
Meet Jessica and Juan. We met Jessica at the Kevin Rush Bridal show. She was super excited to plan her wedding, and we were just happy to hear all about her plans. After booking, we started planning her engagement session. When looking for locations, Jessica shared how much she loves water, so I knew I had the perfect spot for her. I chose this cute little area near the Kern River in the hills of Bakersfield.
Jessica and Juan met online in November 2012. She loved how much detail he put into his profile. After a few days of chatting online they decided to meet for their first date. After that first date they made it official. Inseprapable ever since. They enjoy going to the movies and hanging out with friends.
The proposal: It was the day after Christmas Day. Juan surprised Jessica with a trip to Catalina Island. At this point she kinda gave up on him proposing because Christmas had already passed. But to her surprise, after dinner they went for a walk on the beach he DID IT! He was looking at an app showing the constellations. As she was looking up he said, ” If you turn around you can see your future.” When she turned, he was on was knee. How cute is that!!!!!! Great job Juan. Proposal well done.
Juan & Jessica’s wedding is set for the spring of next year at a venue here in Bakersfield. We are very excited to share their wedding day with them. I cannot wait to see their wedding vision come to life. We’re also very excited to meet all of their closest friends and family. (We enjoy meeting new people! We are huggers so be prepared, lol.)
Jessica, you guys are rockstars and your session turned out beautiful. Thank you for trusting us!!
