Sweet romantic engagement photos in Sequoia National Park near General Sherman Tree

I recently photographed Mathew & Yanira’s engagement photos at the Giant Forrest Museum. This soon-to-be wedded couple will be getting married on May 23rd, 2020. We are anxiously waiting to document their wedding this spring.

Mathew proposed to Yanira in Lake Tahoe on a high rock overlooking a beautiful waterfall. He convinced her to take a picture facing the lake. When she turned around, Mathew was on one knee. She was so surprised she stepped back, and Mathew had to grabbed her so she wouldn’t fall. Mathew arranged to have their family and friends present. What a sweet story! And the reason why it made sense to do their engagement photos at Sequoia National Park!

Yanira & Mathew are having a Catholic wedding here in Bakersfield followed by traditional reception at The Gardens of Millcreek. Make it Happen Events is preparing their florals. Carlos always does an outstanding job. Can’t wait to see the uniqueness he creates for their special day. BTW I had the privilege to shoot Carlos and his beautiful wife Rachel’s wedding this last fall. #MLCOUPLES I know it’s going to be a gorgeous wedding!

Future wedding details aside, let’s get to the present: Mathew & Yanina’s engagement session! These two are real naturals in front of the camera. Their good looks, fabulous outfit choices, a historic location, and their genuine love for each other made this photo shoot a truly enjoyable experience breeze!
